Vice President - Corporate Security - 15/18 yrs - ex Army - MNC bank

The client is a MNC bank with a strong presence in India along with an asset management company and a captive BPO. We have been retained to identify a proven Corporate Security professional (prematurely retired army officer) with a minimum of 7 yrs with MNC banks/Tier I IT/BPO cos after retirement not exceeding the upper age limit of 42 yrs.

Officers without private sector experience and those who have worked only in the government sector following retirement may not apply.

Some of the key deliverables are -

1) Have policy and procedure oversight of the delivery of security operations directly where Corporate Security & BCP (CSBP) has ownership or Corporate Real Estate Services (CRES) where it owns operational security.
2) Be the primary point of contact on all security policy matters to the Bank’s business and infrastructure groups.
3) Lead, manage and deliver security projects in Mumbai and other locations in scope.
4) Support all other workstreams within geographic scope, specifically: Business Continuity Management, Crisis Management, Protective Intelligence, Fraud Prevention and Investigation and CERT.

More specifically, the KRAs are -

a) Manage the security operations and staff (both internal and external) protecting buildings in Mumbai and within geographic scope, either directly where Security has responsibility or in partnership with CRES where CRES has responsibility.
b) Responsible for providing consultancy to internal Bank clients on all security issues relating to security standards and solutions.
c) Responsible for designing cost efficient security solutions to premises belonging to the Bank.
d) Responsible for monitoring the threat situation around the area within scope and ensure that appropriate security solutions are implemented timely.
e) Manage vendors who provide security systems and services to the Bank, either directly or as an escalation for CRES.
f) Carry out risk assessments and security surveys on all locations in scope, including making recommendations for improvements where necessary.
g) Carry out outsourced vendor security recertification activity when required.
h) Ensure all locations in scope have a security concept in place.
i) Ensure all audit points within responsibility are closed prior to their deadline.
j) Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with CRES and associated stakeholder partners.
k) Carry out security training and awareness to bank staff and vendors when required.
l) Maintain industry contacts to promote the bank in the wider security industry and be able to source intelligence or support from industry peers.
m) Contribute as requested to the Fraud Prevention and Investigation, Business Continuity, Protective Intelligence and CERT efforts within geographic scope.
n) Advise C level managers on all CSBP matters including overseas managers.

The client expects this high impact resource to come from peer group banks like Citi, BankAm, SCB, HSBC, Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse or from large MNC IT/BPO cos like IBM, Accenture, EDS, CapGemini and WNS in or around Mumbai. Candidates from other locations may find it a challenge relocating to Mumbai due to the high cost of accommodation.
